Former Group President, The Home Depot; Founder, PGA Tour Superstore
Bill Hamlin is a highly successful 30 year veteran in the retail
industry. After joining The Home Depot as merchant in 1985, his
unique style and assertive presence did not go unnoticed and Bill
soon became the prodigy of the company's founder/owners Bernie
Marcus and Arthur Blank. In 1988, he became West Coast Merchandising
Vice President. His forward thinking leadership skills, a resolve
for success while delivering consistent and sustainable results, and
overall operational excellence put him in the first Divisional
President role in 1990. In 1994, these attributes landed him in the
Executive Vice President Merchandising role which he embraced by
becoming the Top Merchant for the company and directing 10 Buying
offices in United States Canada, and South America. The Home Depot
experienced unprecedented success and Bill's influence was evidenced

Advertising, Distribution and Logistics, and Worldwide Sourcing. In
1996, Bill participated with Arthur
Blank in working with Jack Welch and his team at GE; David Glass and
his team at Wal-Mart; and Doug Ivester and his team at Coca Cola.

from a 10 Billion to a 50 Billion dollar company. Ultimately taking
the helm as Group President of the Home Depot, Bill's proven
bold leadership skills and the experience he
brought to the table helped shape The Home Depot into the formidable
retail giant it is today.
With a passion for golf and exploring new business ventures, Bill
journeyed into entrepreneurship by founding and leading a team and
began creating a new golf store concept in 2002. The PGA Tour
Superstore became an immediate retail success storey and now
